Dr. James G. Wellborn is a clinical psychologist in private practice focusing on adolescents and families. A published author of scholarly works on motivation, coping in childhood and adolescence and academic engagement, he has been a consultant to school districts in developing system-wide programs to address motivation and academic engagement for at-risk youth in both New York and Tennessee.
Dr. Wellborn and his wife live in Nashville, Tennessee and are the parents of two grown children.
