I'm on of Ms.Prates biggest fans and she never ceases to amaze me with her stories. Miss Annie is one of the best surprises I've had in a long time. Ms.Prate gave us humor and sorrow in this book with a twist at the end. Two men vie for Miss Annies affection acting very much like school boys. Now grown they discover her secret are both shocked and saddened by the outcome of her life. I hope everyone will take a few minutes to read this story and give themselves a treat. As always you amaze me Kit and never disapoint.

Miss Annie is a story about the love and devotion a teacher has for her students and the town. A love that drives her to share her wealth. It also a testament to the lengths two men, Henry and Frank will go to for the woman they love. Can these two men set aside their feelings of jealousy in the contest for Miss Annie's love and work together to bring in an outlaw robber that has been plaguing their territory for years? Life isn't always what it seems to be and sometimes those we think we know the best, we don't really know at all. Ultimately, Henry and Frank are compelled to make a judgment call due to a shocking revelation that could destroy Miss Annie's high standing in the community. I don't think I have enough superlatives to appropriately describe the entertaining read to be found in the pages of Miss Annie and you shouldn't be wasting your time reading my review when you could be experiencing this tale of what people will do for love.

Miss Annie is the short story of two men in love with the same woman. She is a school teacher who leaves each summer to return East. Miss Annie has done much to benefit the whole town and she won't choose between her two suitors. Then a twist of fate has these rivals hunting a bank robber and finding a terrible secret.

This story packs a lot of emotions and western action into a few words. I am definitely a fan of Ms. Prate's. She reveals much about the lives of her characters in their actions and dialogue rather than in long flowery descriptions. I can't wait to read more of her work.
