In this second novel of the series, Jake Olson’s and Frank Schroeder’s wives are intent on producing sons for them, but give it a rest so the two old BoonieRats can meet-up with their brothers at the Sturgis, South Dakota motorcycle rally. They know nothing of the danger they’re leaving their families in, but an unorthodox preacher and his unusual little chaperone catch wind of it.
Their shooting-for-pregnant wives give Jake and Frank a break from their hardly unpleasant family expansion duties and the ranch so they can meet-up with the BoonieRats at the Sturgis, South Dakota motorcycle rally. While they are away, vile men are bent on shattering Jake’s perfect world even before learning of the gold. An outlaw biker turned preacher and his celestial little sidekick, an angel in disguise, catch wind of the scheme and move to stop it. A foxy grandmother undersheriff finds out something is amiss and gets on the case, too. Waiting in the shadows is a Native American shaman turned assassin and his apprentices. One step behind them all but coming on fast is Jake Olson, armed with nerve and a .357 Magnum. Saddle-up for this wild, mystical Western taking place not in the 1880s, but the 1980s.
