Extended description

In this second novel of the series, Desiree's fresh-out-of-alcohol-rehab mother Mandy needs a job. She has a lead on one, too. It's in Kevin's home town where the man she met at the Baby Grand unveiling lives and has connections in the school system. Her main focus should be taking care of her daughter, but that man is on her mind.

Kevin is buying a Baby Grand race car, not to be confused with the 1927 Miller dubbed "the Baby Grand" that they worked on all summer. Desiree and both sets of grandparents are colluding to help him launch his racing career. But his biggest concern is whether he's up for it. Doing impressive things on a grassy field with a battered BMW 3 Series is one thing, competing on a racetrack is another. Hopefully he inherited more than his facial features from Great-grandfather Paul "Throttle" Johnson.
