The First Human War

Rated 5.00/5 based on 1 reviews
Fourteen year-old Peter Campbell and his four classmates are stuck on a sentient starship during a class trip when the base is attacked. The quirky ship has yet to develop his full personality, yet must escape the battle - until he is knocked off-line.

The kids send the ship into hyperspace, coming out lost and with no adults left alive. Thus begins the 1,000-year Tales of the Antares Rangers.

Review by: KimP on June 22, 2013 :
Really enjoyed this book and will definitely read the rest of the series. Loved the hard science used the in space flight, light years, radiation dangers, life support, communication over vast distances, etc. The evolution of Stiles' sociopathic personality is a bit obvious and forced but love the development of self and personality in Perry
