About Jodie B. Cooper

Jodie has lived in Alaska, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. She currently lives in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

She loves writing, but doesn't have enough time to write all the stories bouncing around in her head. She has a very thick folder of all the stories she wants to write. Perhaps one day, she'll manage to get through half the folder.

When she isn't writing, she loves reading paranormal romance and fantasy.

A few of her favorite series include: Dark Guardian Series by Rachel Hawthorne, The Binding Blade Series by L.B. Graham, Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews, and Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill.

This is book 4 in the Song of the Sidhi series. It is a short story paranormal romance. Alexander and Lizzie both have a human form as well as their dragon forms. Lizzie has been held captive by the lord of the Dhark Empire for 20 years and is tortured on a daily basis. Alexander is a guardian. He is also Lizzie's mate. He has sent up a peace camp in the hopes of attracting the attention of the terrorist group Khr'Vurr. Alexander gets information that Lizzie may be held in the prison at TeVarrn. Alexander will need the help of an elf named Sarah, who has a secret of her own, in order to enter the prison and hopefully save Lizzie.

I liked this short story. It was a clean romance. I have not read any others in the series but I felt this short story worked as a stand alone. The only thing missing for me was more descriptiveness about the world. This may be something that the prior books had more of so I may have to go back when I have time and read the whole series. A quick read and I liked the characters well enough to want to know more about them.

I received this ebook free through LibraryThing member giveaways in exchange for an honest review.

Nice story with love and suspense.
Beliavable characters and situations.
Even though the characters are non human, the feelings they portrait are and very often we can see attitudes and situations alike to those showed here.
easy to read, fun and original either in the plot and in the message

Guardian's Beloved Mate by Jodie B. Cooper
Song of the Sídhí #4
I have not read any books in the series, but now want to go and read them. The story does stand alone but would be so much better I believe if I had read them first.
I like the characters and want to more about them.
Guardian Alexander is determined to find his mate Lizzie she went missing 20 years ago.
He set up a camp of youth as bait. He thought they were protected enough that no harm would come to them.
Khr'Vurr are a terrorist group that had kidnapped his mate. He wants to destroy them for revenge and to find Lizzie.
The story has drama, sad parts and humor. It is a clean read. It looks by this short story a good series to read and be entertained by.
I was given this ebook to read by librarything in exchange of honest review.
