Set in the fictional town of Duper's Fork, Virginia, this is part 3 of a character driven series that begins in 1978. Larry Dahl is a former FBI agent. As a result of the death of his wife, an event he blames himself for, Dahl is haunted, lonely, and conflicted. He is also bored until the events of Dupers Fork come to the forefront. A world War II POW camp leads of murder and a political secret long buried (book 1), small town political rivalries heat up (book 2), leading to a serial killer, the love of 2 women, and maybe, a wrap up of the POW camp mystery (book 3)
