Absolutely love this. I was disappointed when I found out Death was being put on hold for this as I am a huge fan of the Devils Roses, but now I am over the moon! This book is brilliant, it had me from the beginning and really feeling for Rayne and getting lost with her, crying with her and feeling her confusion! This book is fantastic and a must read, Tara Brown's work keeps getting better

Loved this book. If your looking a fast paced, easy to read, page turner and love the supernatural, look no further. Brown has an fabulous ability to weave pop culture, current issues and true history into the backdrop of her supernatural world. The result is a very authentic, believable plot, which says a lot considering how far-out-there this story is! Great characters, original story, well written.
The Light of the World is entertaining and will leave you wanting more. Buy it, you're in for a treat!

I love Ryane, she has know idea what is going on and all of a sudden her life is totally different, but she is so strong. I don't know how many times I cought myslef holding my breath waiting to see what would happen next. I am totally a Tara Brown fan now. I can't wait to read the rest of her books now

5 out of 5 stars
First off I will forever be a TB fan! Her books get better with everyone I read! I'd have to say this is now my favorite of hers, once I got to reading my eyes could not read fast enough! I absolutely love the supernatural world she created in this book, with the vampire, Van Helsings and Nixies (which are my fave, they are like mermaid witches!) just to name few! The Light of The World is about a girl named Rayne who finds out she's something special to the world and ends up running and fighting for her life. You get to follow her along this big coaster ride and meet a bunch of amazing characters along the way! I couldn't get enough of them honestly I loved them! There is Mona her super sweet and caring roommate who is there for Rayne through everything (but I think she's up to something!), her crazy hippie of a mother Willow who is a witch, and hair brained hilarious friend Michelle and let's not forget one (yes you read that right ONE of TWO hotties!) of the guys who fall for Rayne, Wyatt he sounds sizzling hot and yummy but you honestly don't know to love him or hate him! I promise you won't regret this purchase, the story line will captivate you, suck you in roll you around and spit you out at the end begging for more! Thanks for another smashing read girl awaiting book two!!!!
Here are my two fave lines!!
"No, just curious. You know like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and shit"
"Constantine gets points for effort and creativity. I think I peed my pants. That scared the shit out of me"

OMW! To put Tara Browns book The Light Of The World in perspective.... How would you feel to know you were born dead but are alive at the same time? That when you sleep, you sleep among the dead and you only wake when they allow it? How about knowing that you have been born 5 times only lived up to the night before your 21st birthday and your destiny is already set and you are the only one who could change it? Yea I can't even begin to answer those questions! All I can say is the lead character Rayne was given the short end of the stick in this Novel and now she's unsure of who she can truly trust with her life and heart.
This book will literally pull you in and you will NOT be able to put it down. Between Witches, Vampires, The Van Helsing family, Angels, Demons and well one special breed that saves the world from sin....I feel like I am saying to much but not saying enough about The Light Of The World. I don't want to spoil your reading so just take my word on this one it is truly amazing.... but beware the cliffhanger is going to make you want more! Happy Reading all!!
