Three short stories of suspense:
In "The Occasion" waitresses at a catering hall try to guess why they were called in on such short notice. It's all fun and games until someone turns up dead.
In "Send Her My Love" a school's ex-con janitor is asked by a timid teacher for a grisly favor. The job turns out much messier when the janitor has his own ideas.
In "Deceit," a man's best friend goes missing, then goes on an inexplicable robbery spree. A renewed search for the man sends the protagonist through the darkest parts of the city and his own past.
Also included is a sample chapter from the full-length mystery novel "Truly Twisted."
