About Evie Asterwyn

I am a 30 year old "Kiwi" (a.k.a. I live in New Zealand).
I started writing as a child/teenager (mostly poetry, songs and short stories) but that took a back-seat to life, where working and paying the bills became more important for a while.
I am an avid reader, so books kept me company over the interim years.
I started writing again in 2011, after having toyed with the idea on-and-off over several years, of writing a fantasy style novel based in reality, where the hero/heroine suddenly finds themselves yanked out of the ordinary world and suddenly in a world with amazing creatures and the onus of responsibility to solve a problem resting squarely on their shoulders (the likes of Narnia, Alice in Wonderland etc). "Extraordinary" came into being, and I've since decided and planned out a series of books to continue the story, all of which I'm working on currently and I'd like to get published.

What a great book flows easy and is easy to read I couldn't put it down the characters are so believable and can I can relate to the readers. I would rate Evie up there with the likes of CS Lewis and JRR Tolkein I can't wait for part 2,3,4 of this book I need to know what happens next I wished I could of started part 2 when part 1 was over and was disappointed when it wasn't finished but when she has finished it I will read it and wait with baited breath for the next 2 parts. Well done Evie its a great book.

Review by: Raylene Kawana on June 30, 2013 :
Books that appeal to me are those where I can identify with various aspects of the books characters. Extraordinary by Evie Asterwyn just so happens to be one such book. From beginning to end, Evie had captured my imagination. She allowed me to dream along side the characters in which she has given life to. There is not one person I know who has not at some point in their life wondered to themselves "What would life be like if........... " and started dreaming of the "What if's". Evie has done exactly that in this brilliantly written tale of hers. If you are looking for a way to escape the ordinary to something extraordinary, Evie Asterwyn's "Extraordinary" is the adventure for you.
