This wonderful little book is a must for anyone who wants to point their creative career in the right direction, whether they're absolute beginners, or somewhat experienced artists. It's the stuff everyone forgets to teach us. Doron Meir's friendly style and sense of humor read more like a pleasant conversation than a lecture, and yet it's impossible to underestimate the value of the information conveyed. This text will help you avoid our profession's nastiest traps, and show you the right path to follow in a world where the old rules no longer work. Hurry up and get it while it's ridiculously underpriced.

A quick, informative and entertaining read. I enjoyed the analytical dissection of the different forces that influence a beginning artists career (and also a veterans).
As a somewhat seasoned proffesional in the field of animation I can testify that all of the tips and insights in this book seem valid and useful. All in all it definitely delivers on what the title promises.

Recommended!
The book contains tips and important insights, and is definitely up to date. The reading is fun and flowing, and it’s difficult to stop reading.
For me, the book felt very much like a "one on one" experience. It’s like you're sitting in front of a person with extensive experience and a proven track record, a man who has no need to flaunt his successes. He talks at eye level and answers the most basic and simple questions: How do I start? What do I do when I feel I’m not making any progress?
The answers make perfect sense, and the book as a whole is inspiriting.
It is a book you want to have close at hand, to read again in those moments when you feel you've lost your way and everything is in haze.

How to Kick Start Your Career in a Creative Industry aims to put into perspective those fears and apprehensions we have when first faced with the daunting task of finding our first job in the creative industry.
Doron Meir breaks down the aspects of the hunt into manageable issues we can all tackle, and in some ways, without knowing it, are already tackling.
This book is a good guide for those who find themselves intimidated or lost in the beginning of their career, or even before that, students who are thinking forward to their professional life.
It's never too early to start.
