About Arturo Raymond

Arturo grew up and spent most of his life in South Lake Tahoe. Arturo Raymond is a graduate of South Tahoe High School and Western Nevada Community College. His first novel, Bernie Takes Tahoe, is a tribute and roast of his late father, and a creation of interacting with his father's unusual friends and numerous visits to Nevada casinos while growing up in South Lake Tahoe during the 1970s. This environment, along with the influences of writers like Hunter S. Thompson and Jackie Collins, to name just a few, helped shape his unique, humorous, unrestrained style of writing.

I love this book because, I spent a lot of my summers in South Lake Tahoe, and I even lived there for a year of my life in the mid '80's. Bernie Takes Tahoe, describes, in vivid detail, many memorable locations, in the Lake Tahoe area.
This story, I believe, should be made into a feature film, because it has all of the aspects of a good movie, and Lake Tahoe is the perfect setting for the verbal visual tapestry that has been described so well by the writer of this book.
If you love Lake Tahoe like I do, you will love, Bernie Takes Tahoe!
