When she was a young girl, Sonia Bruni dreamed of becoming a photographer and a writer, but it was only after she had worked ten years for the airlines, travelling around the world and later raised her three children, did she finally find the time to pursue her dream fulltime.
Now she spends her time writing short stories for children packed with adventure, mystery and the reality of everyday life, as well as articles on parenting issues and children psychology. For four years she worked writing articles for other websites and social networks before she produced her first adventure book for children, ‘The Secret of Whistling Willow’ the first of a breathtaking adventure series, packed with action, mystery and fantasy.
Born in Rome from an English mother and Italian father, she lived between the two cultures spending time in Cornwall and Devon and in the Italian capital. She later graduated from Edgehill College, Bideford, England and then became a Certified Translator due to her linguistic skills. She worked part time as a translator but joined the airlines soon after her degree, as she felt stifled by a life of routine and stressed out by the constant rivalry. During the ten years she worked as an airline attendant she took a great interest in photography and everywhere she went she loved to mingle with the people and their different cultures enjoying the freedom of roaming about as a solitary spectator. It was only after she collected quite a few shots of the places and people she visited worldwide, did she realize that behind each portrait or landscape there was a story to tell.
She now lives with her husband and three children in the Southern Alps of France, where the cocooned environment and natural beauty of the area is an ideal place to bring up three energetic children and glean the inspiration for her writing.
