A moment later they were in the kitchen and Jamie was popping some popcorn in the microwave. Kendall got them each a glass of milk. When the popcorn was done, they settled around the table.
“We had a small burglary last night,” Officer Hall began. “It wouldn’t have been such a big deal, except that it’s been happening quite a bit lately. We think it’s the work of one guy, and I think I know who that guy is, but I can’t prove it.”
