About Susan R. Hughes

Nothing gets my heart pumping like a good love story with absorbing emotion, plenty of passion, an old-fashioned happy ending. That’s why I started writing romance novels, and I’m excited to share these stories with you. Set mainly in Canada, my novels explore the extraordinary thrill of finding that special someone and falling head over heels in love. I hope you’ll enjoy reading them as much as I did writing them.

I live in Ottawa, Ontario, with my husband and three children.

I enjoyed the story, the characters, and the feel of Sense of Touch I have always loved books with an old fashioned feelm but I don't think that the setting would interfere with anyone's enjoyment. This love story began with a real life disaster that brought the two fictional main characters together and shaped their lives for the next five years until a chance encounter brought them together again.

Sean was blinded in the explosion that destroyed a good part of the town of Halifax, Ontario. His little sister, along with hundred, disappeared in the destruction, and Amy's parents were among the several thousand who were identified among the dead. The two, now adults, are drawn to one another, but she is somewhat committed to another, and Sean doesn't believe that he can bring anything good to a marriage and family, so while unable to refuse the love making that she offer's, he refuses to accept that they can build a true relationship.

I just discovered that this book is part of a series. I I look forward to reading it, too.

I won this book from the author.
