Thoroughly enjoyed this sweet romantic book set under trying conditions. The author's vivid description of the scenery and wilderness conditions makes you feel as if you're part of the story of Sarah and Jamie. I hope there's a sequel in the future.

This book is a little slow to get going, but takes off around the middle - to the point where I didn't want to put it down. It had me wondering whether Sarah and her family would ultimately survive the harsh wilderness of that time.

There's a nice mix of action, adventure and romance. Credibility is evident by the author's knowledge of survival and conditions in this geographic area. I believe this first time author has more books in his future.
