Short description

Dale is trapped on a low tech planet full of strange beings straight out of some fairy tale, his powers aren't working, and neither is any of his high tech equipment. Wizard's Bane is the first book in a six book series called The Sojourn Chronicles, and follows Dale - a member of a high tech space fleet - as he attempts to save the world he is stranded on from the most vicious race of aliens that the galaxy has to offer... the Gorg.

Along the way he collects an unlikely band of companions - including one that is a dragon, and on that started out as a spell - all with their own itineraries and ulterior motives, runs afoul of various denizens from fantasy and faery, and discovers that there is more than one kind of magic.

The Sojourn Chronicles have been compared to the Shadow Trilogy by George Lukas, and has collected excellent reviews over the years since book one was released in print. A must have, must read and re-read, for any fan of fantasy or science fiction.
