I don’t want to give too much away but from the beginning when you are told that nothing can go wrong with the prototype ship you know it just has to. However, it’s the journey this story takes you on rather than the known destination that is important and it is an interesting journey.

I did find it hard though to completely immerse myself in the story when the rank of Captain received such little respect from anyone. I couldn’t help but wonder, more than once, whether Murphy would have been treated differently if she was a man, but then maybe that was the real point of the story.
