Ebook short description

The last in the acclaimed Hidden Cove Firefighter trilogy does not disappoint. An injured firefighter from 9/11 and a disgraced cop struggle to salvage their lives with the help of the women who love them. Originally published by Berkley Press. “Shay writes an emotion-packed story with angst and some hot sex. This dramatic tale also has a nice touch of humor.” RT Book Club

Extended description

From Booklist
Ian Woodward, one of the firefighter heroes of the 9/11 terrorist attack, has been crippled since that horrible day. Finally, at the urging of his brother-in-law, Noah Callahan, from On the Line, Ian starts teaching at the Hidden Cove Fire Academy. But imprisoned as much by his self-pity as by his wheelchair, he broke actress Lisel Loring's heart. She returned to the Broadway stage only to suffer a breakdown. Back in Hidden Cove, she is being stalked by an obsessive fan. Lisel hires disgraced ex-cop Rick Ruscio to protect her. Rick's community-service job is at a preschool, where he meets teacher Faith McPherson who, living up to her name, tries to restore his belief in himself. Self-acceptance and healing come hard to these men, even in a place as neighborly as Hidden Cove. The talented Shay offers another heartwarming tale of brave men and women. Shelley Mosley

I thought the whole series was great, but this one I was looking forward to from the time Ian was introduced. I wasn't dissapointed either with how the story turned out. It was an amazing read.
