Highly recommended. Hatsukoi is the second full-length novel in this series but the first chronologically, as it jumps back 20 years to the good girl-meets-bad girl beginnings of the main couple’s relationship. A candid, funny, charming yet believable study of first love merges seamlessly with long scenes of graphic eroticism; the result is highly romantic. Modern-day Tokyo provides the fascinating setting. Characters to really care about, sex scenes to be excited by, an enlightening immersion in Japanese culture—this is another rich, fulfilling, memorable read from author Hildred Billings. Treat yourself and tell your friends.
