J. P. Crowe always intended to pen at least one novel set during overlooked events of the Crimean War, Gallic Wars or wider barbarian-era Europe. He holds a degree in English and History.
Sand in the Sea is his first novel and follows the actions of the Anglo-French Pacific fleet during the Crimean War. It was researched and written over 24 months whilst studying for a master's degree and draws upon historical fact, contemporary and revisionist theory, personal account and a touch of creative license.
He is writing a second novel set between 345-355 BC Celtic Britain and Europe following a Roman soldier, son of a respected consul, turned exile and mercenary.
In his spare time he writes other books.
He lives in London.
