Short description

Having accepted the LDS P.R. pitch that they are “Goddesses in training”, Mormon women soon find themselves trapped within a reality that doesn’t fit what they’ve been told. These thirteen women, however, found the truth, and the truth has set them free. (John 8:32)

Extended description

Using the stories of twelve women (plus the author) who have left Mormonism and have become born again Christians, The Mormon Woman... Goddess or Second Class Citizen? reveals the effects of Mormonism on the lives of women, and shows the stark contrasts between Mormon doctrine and the Bible. The first 23 chapters focus on subjects from being a “baby factory”, eternal marriage and polygamy, all the way to the shocking subject of satanic ritual abuse. The final chapter examines the biblical view of women to give the reader a clear picture of how Jesus views women and how precious they are to Him.

This was a marvelous expose of the LDS church and it's practices. The abuse that is uncovered by women who have lived within this community is a real eye opener. It was informative, interesting and factual. Your prayers will be increased for women who will be challenged and encouraged to live their lives in the light of Jesus Christ, Who alone is able to deliver them.

Many years ago a note on the kitchen wall at my brother and sister-in-law's, (both believers) caught my attention: A red heart signed "The Mormons" The response to my query was, "Oh, they are so polite, nice, clean cut, etc."

Bonnie Rick's book reveals the façade of LDS and is a must read for those concerned about the spiritual well being of believers and the eternal fate of others.
