About LJ Johnson-Bell

LJJOHNSON-BELL is an award-winning wine writer, author (Prix Louis Marinier, Bordeaux). Born in the US, she studied and lived in France for twelve years where she edited Vintage Magazine before moving to England in 1996 to open a UK office and where she studied law at Oxford’s OXILP. She also co-owns Notting Hill’s Portobello Gold restaurant and hotel. She regularly travels in Europe as a wine jury member, and has contributed to Taste Italia!, WINE, Drinks, The Henley Standard, Decanter, Wine & Spirit, London Portrait, The European Newspaper and others. She is a member of the British Circle of Wine Writers, FIJEV, The Authors' Guild, The Society of Authors, London, British Mensa, Women in Film and Television, Women of Wine, and The Law Society, London. She is married with two sons and lives in Oxford, London and Venice.
