I enjoyed this book. It has the flavor of classic science fiction, but with modern scientific perspectives and understandings. I really enjoyed the description of life evolving on the alien planet. It was thoughtful, poetic, and believable. My son also enjoyed the book, or does so far. He in only about 1/4 of the way through. When he finishes, I'll write up a review from his perspective.
