Book #1 of the Svatura Series
When Ellie Aubrey leaves her only remaining family and moves to Colorado, she knows she's risking her life. But she can't ignore the possibility of what she might find there. What she didn't expect to encounter was a bewildering connection to one smolderingly sexy Alex Jenner. But when Ellie's worst nightmare comes true and threatens to destroy everything she holds dear, she must fight to save those she loves most. Even if it means sacrificing herself by revealing a terrible truth... sometimes not all monsters are make believe.

Exceptionally imaginative and magically romantic, Blue Violet delivers equal parts fantasy, romance, and suspense. You will not be able to wait for the next book in the series!

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) . . . .'Blue Violet' is the type of book that makes me want to press pause on the world (wink wink!!), snuggle in a blanket and read it from start to finish. The plot gave me that dizzy feeling from spinning to fast on a roundabout when I was a little girl!!
'Blue Violet' is the story of Ellie, who arrives in Estes park, with her twin brother, Griffin, following a premonitory dream. Ellie believes that she has to find the remaining members of her race, the Darane Svatura, the majority having been wiped out by their nemesis, the Vyusher. The Svatura are a unique race who prefer to live in groups and who have exceptional powers which tend to develop as the individual grows older; these powers can be anything from psychic ability to metamorphosis to healing.
Ellie enrols in the local high school with the intention of meeting Adelaide, Nate and Lila, and she believes her plan is under control until she bumps into the brother of Adelaide and Lila. Alex and Ellie are uncontrollably drawn to each other but both want to deny their feelings . . . . . . .
'Blue Violet' is a Young Adult Romance with a Paranormal twist. It is simply but beautifully told, so much so, that one chapter had me quietly sobbing!
The characters are flawed enough not to be irritating, particularly Ellie, who is an ideal heroine - strong, stubborn and loving.
I could continue to gush about this book but I am likely to give spoilers away and Abigail Owen would never forgive me!!
I just recommend you all go ahead and read it!! You may just find your happy place :-)!
