This is a fiction children's short story about a little, crippled orphan duck, Quacker, who is bullied and taunted by the other ducks in the forest because he is hurt and cannot do what they do. Quacker tries to do his best, but in the end, he is near death from lack of food. At the end of the story, a wolf comes by, and a lone eagle flies from the treetops.
