Review by: Jane Berk on March 28, 2013 :
What a delightful, whimsical, book! It rambles around, full of quirky twists and turns, flights of fancy mixed with scary realities, and all told with a wonderfully vivid and well-spoken voice. A fairy tale for grown-ups. I absolutely loved it and am looking forward to the next installment. I completely agree with Wesley Burton's review and am also no longer a fan of ogres!

As I read I find myself wandering in my head. Sometimes I relate so well to Stella. It is such a good way to get away in the head and be silly.
It is a real talent to make people follow but yet not force them to do so. And to allow their minds to wander and not punish them for it.
I really enjoyed the misadventures of each of the characters. And unlike Falkner who also has a wandering penmenship, the main story is easy to flow back into without a lot of fussy mind work.
I really enjoyed Shrek, the Orge in the book is not like him I tell you. I hate orges now.
it is a true treat to be let into the stellar mind of Ms. Ann Cognito
I can hardly wait for the next adventures the author will treat me to.
