AnnaMarie has been married for 35 years and enjoys creating things. She has been diagnosed
with Multiple Sclerosis since 1983, when she found herself going blind in her right eye with Optic Neuritis. While the blindness only lasted for six weeks, it was a warning to her doctors of things to come.
AnnaMarie learned how to continue on with her life, as her children were only 5 1/2 and six months old at the time. After the first week of the blindness, her husband told her that the only things she was not allowed to do were to drive, (she kept drifting to the left) and pour baby bottles, because he got tired of cleaning up the milk that wouldn't go into the right side of the bottle. (In other words, she had to admit she couldn't see like she did the week before! She's still not good at that admitting she can't do things, even after 30 years!)
In 1988, when the other symptoms of her MS began to show: inability to walk, loss of balance and extreme fatigue among others, her doctors were sure of the disease. Her first words to her parents as she got into their house on the day of her diagnosis were, "I'm not going to let this stop me!"
In 1994, AnnaMarie began work on a Bachelor's degree and finally accomplished it in 2003, earning a Bachelor's degree in English: Creative Writing from Indiana University Southeast. She has written several prize-winning essays and short stories. She enjoys writing poetry and is working on a book about her life with MS, and intends to update and publish the short stories she wrote for her children and nieces and nephews.

Glimmerings offers a totally different perspective on the religious stories we all grew up with. The author features other characters that experienced these events in a fresh new animated way that makes you wonder, "Why didn't I think of it in this way?"
This is an easy to read, descriptive book that is hard to put down. You will enjoy it!
