Flash fiction stories generally run from between 100 and 1,000 words, with the lower word counts representing a challenge to the writer to craft a story with a beginning, middle, and end, along with characters, plot, maybe a hook or twist, and a resolution.

Even though this is less than 1,000 words, it IS a horror story...so I hope it makes you say "Shazam!" at least once. Enjoy!

Thanks for turning me on to flash fiction. I've now read all of your stories (at least those on Smashwords as of May 2013) and enjoyed them all! Who knew you could travel so far in the mind with so few words.
