I enjoyed this short story a lot.The idea of the main character as narrator and also pseudo-director was very interesting. The scale of the story fits well with the events that unfold.even though its a teen story, the dialogue is clear and crisp.
The theme of drowning interacts with the ideas of murder, suicide, salvation,to create a thought-complex that kept me guessing up until the last page how the story would end.
The element of love is there but its mixed in with so many other ideas and feelings,as is in life making the emotional turbulances of the main character that much more realistic.
sharp crisp clean writing, solid ideas, well developed imagery, very nice story.
