Volume 7 takes a look at Cryptology applied to music. The book starts off with the movie “Mr. Holland’s Opus” starring Richard Dreyfuss. With the state date theme, actress Olympia Dukakis as Principal Jacobs is born 6/20 when West Virginia became a state. The other character was Gertrude Lang played by actress Alicia Witt born 8/21 when Hawaii became a state. When Gertrude Lang was about to quit playing clarinet, Mr. Holland realized he had to try a different approach. It’s not about reading notes on a page. The last 6 volumes are like notes on a page. I can show you history and map out the state dates. However, reading it as notes on a page is just like a cold scientific approach to understanding the information. A person has to let the music flow through them. That’s something that can’t be taught. A person must internalize it and let all the components come together.
