A fun and creepy read! Caterwaul is a short story that builds at a steady pace, with just enough hints to induce a serious case of the creepy-crawlies, and enough open questions left at the end to make me jump every time I hear skittering in the walls for the rest of my life. The characterization of cats is incredibly realistic and at points had me laughing out loud. It reminds me very much of some of Neil Gaiman's best short stories. Definitely a must-read for anyone who loves cats and Neil Gaiman. Which, arguably, should be everyone on the internet.
