As I started to read this story, the first thing that I realised was,the sequence of events was moving fast.I thought okay, its to get through the formative years, but the pace never slows. As a reader I felt that through out the whole story I was never given enough time to dwell in the present, to learn and know characters, settings, even the main characters emotions are just touched on,then the story moves forward, like a train. All round Character depth and development is lacking, the settings dont feel real, the diction could have worked if this story was longer, the biggest problem is that this story feels abriged. And this makes me sad because its got such solid ideas, emotional complexes and themes, that if the time had been take to allow elements to develop, lingering in the present, allowing readers the opportunity to know characters, settings and emotional landscapes, this would have been a good story, but unfortunately it's not.
