About Theresa Marguerite Hewitt

I grew up in a very small town in Central New York, and i mean so small if you blinked you missed it. I learned to love everything small town and I miss it everyday I'm away. I recieved my Bachelors Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2009, but have been resigned to working retail. There I met my best friend who re-ignited my passion for all things paranormal. Putting pieces together from stories I had written in childhood, I came up with my first short book, Siofra's Song. From there I've gone wild with Siofra's world and expanded into contemporary romance. My Wakefield Romance series centers around a small town in Virginia and women who fall in love with Navy SEALs and the struggles they go through to be together. In the near future I will also be expanding into historical romance with my Viking Dreams Series. I hope you like them and follow me on Twitter and join my Facebook page!

I enjoyed this book very much! I have never read a book before that made me cry...the ending definitely warranted a box of Kleenex. I can't wait for book two. Don't pay attention to the one star ratings...it was without a doubt a five star.

I wanted to read the story because it took place in an area I'm familiar with. But I couldn't get into the writing and had to suspend my disbelief of someone graduating the College of William and Mary with a 4.0 GPA, which is possible, but extremely difficult. Also, I don't think the college has a pre-law degree, at least they didn't when I went there.

It just seemed too cookie-cutter for me for the first chapter. Also, living in Wakefield but commuting to Newport News for a job in retail isn't very economical or realistic. Those small things kind of turned me off the story.

I would have been angry if I'd paid for this book. The characters already knew each other, had already slept together and were already in love when the book began, although they hadn't yet admitted it to each other. There was no character development and I felt no emotion at all for the characters. Furthermore, I happened to watch Seal Team Six the day after I read the book and there were some very real similarities, right down to pictures of one of the actors in the book's trailer on this website.

I grew up with Theresa and her writing still amazes me! Great read! Also check out the video, the song fits perfectly with the story (and not to toot my own horn, but I recommended it :) ). Great job Theresa! Very proud of you! Can't wait for the next story of Rhea and Chad! The homecoming should be steamy! lol
