About B F Moloney

B F Moloney presents his unorthodox tales with a bent sense of humour, a feeling for struggle, and for idealism. These short fictions, intense and impressionistic, may be best described as dark humoured fables or parfables as he likes to call them - hybrids of fable, parable, myth, and anecdote that tell of a subverted normalcy created through character portraits and unusual scenarios; the ideas having sprung from philosophy, religion, mind and body.

B F Moloney grew up in Sydney Australia, travelled some, worked here and there and picked up a couple of degrees along the way. In egress amongst everything has been writing. And now in his middle age he is living a writerly life in North West Tasmania. His literary idols include amongst others Albert Camus, Franz Kafka, Jorge Luis Borges, James Joyce, Janet Frame, Emily Dickinson, Charles Bukowski, Lord Byron, Wilfred Owen.
