Short description

In the follow up to “A Day During Leaf Season,” Amber, agent of the FBI’s Metahuman Crime Task Force receives a call from a familiar face, Tasha, Mary’s mother, pulling her back into the predatory danger of a small Vermont town. What was supposed to be finished business has resurfaced and Amber has no choice but to confront this child-predator face-to-face.

Extended description

Amber doesn’t normally fly, but a desperate phone call from Tasha, 11-year-old Mary’s mother, sends her north to Vermont once again, and into a conflict between what needs to be done, and what should be done.

Because some predators need to be dealt with, directly.

Amber’s choices begin to have consequences, and she finds herself even more involved in Tasha’s and Mary’s lives. But they don’t know the full extent of who and what Amber is, and just what she is capable of doing.
