Reading is my relaxation. Writing is my passion. I'm an author, blogger, and technical writer. Words make the world go round. I'd love it if you share yours with me.

Firstly, a conflict of interest. I’m married to the author. If I did not believe in what I’ve written below however, I would not have submitted a review.
The book is fast and easy to read, but unusual enough to make things very interesting. It takes place in Cape Town, one of my favourite cities, in the mid eighties. While the author explores the link between some of Jung’s ideas and Xhosa tradition, it’s primarily a love story with some horror thrown in.
Much activity takes place around and on Table Mountain. Cape Town is one of the few cities in the world with a mountain in the middle of it. A very unusual mountain, as it’s pretty flat on top, has unique flora and fauna, and a fascinating history, with its fair share of ghosts, pirates (van Hunk) and even the devil. A little under 400 years of various influences from different European nations, and cultures from much further afield, not to forget a couple of wars, have left it a very interesting place. This fits in rather well with the themes in the book.
I strongly recommend you read it. You will not be sorry (...and it’s cheap).
