Time To Fly

Rated 5.00/5 based on 1 reviews
A sweet simple text of thoughtful prose, of mothers’ love that goes with her children through all stages of their lives. As a mother holds her new born baby she offers a prayer of protection, and counts each tiny finger and toe. She is there for first word, first steps, for kindergarten, and then finally letting her child go into the world. A beautiful sentimental book for any occasion. More

About Elaine Dinnall-Stewart

I can remember reading the Encyclopedia Britannica each evening before bedtime. I was about ten years old and loved the beauty of the written words. I wrote my first poem around that time but was not acknowledged for my efforts. My teachers said it was too good to be written by me and that I must have copied it! I was traumatized! The memory of that moment still hurts, tears still well up in my eyes, even though that happened decades ago. However I continued my long romance with literature always striving to coin a phrase , but I was a closet writer .Slowly I have began to heal and entered a few poetry contests ,came out in full view of audiences and now I am taking giant leaps with the help of Mark Coker’s audacity and vision in Smashwords Publishing. Thank you Mark Coker! Redemption has come.
Writing connects me with the Great I Am. Writing for me is meditative and opens that sacred space where I am fee to Be!
I was born and raised on the island of Jamaica and learned at an early age to be sensitive to the subtly and nuances of my people .This lends imagery, voice and experience to my writing. My first published poem, Place of Grace, received the Homer Award from the Society of Poets. Also published is Moonlight Saving Time in an anthology of poems.
“A Christmas Daydream”,” The Greatest Gift, My favorite Christmas Things & That Certain Christmas Feeling” are currently in the Smashwords store. Enjoy and Thank You.
