About B F Moloney

B F Moloney presents his unorthodox tales with a bent sense of humour, a feeling for struggle, and for idealism. These short fictions, intense and impressionistic, may be best described as dark humoured fables or parfables as he likes to call them - hybrids of fable, parable, myth, and anecdote, which tell of subverted normalcy created through character portraits and unusual scenarios; the ideas having sprung from the everyday.

B F Moloney grew up in Sydney Australia, travelled some, worked in a variety of jobs and picked up a couple of degrees along the way. In egress amongst everything has been writing. And now in his middle age he is living a quiet life in North West Tasmania. His literary idols include amongst others Tom Robbins, Franz Kafka, Jorge Luis Borges, Criena Rohan, Janet Frame, Emily Dickinson, Peter Bakowski, Lord Byron, Wilfred Owen.
