This story grips you from the beginning and leaves you at the end wanting more. I am not a fan of short stories but I enjoyed this. Well done Mr. Leather.

A fascinating short story..!

A great read that tells us a bit more about Spider's early days with the SAS in Afghanistan. Yes it is short, but it has all you expect from a Stephen Leather thriller. I have read a lot of non-fiction books about the SAS and Afghanistan, and this gets very close to non-fiction. Amazingly good...

Another brilliant short story from Stephen Leather, giving us the background of the fabulous Spider Shepherd. I loved this as much as all the others, not quite long enough to read in the bath but perfect for a tea break or a half hour of adrenaline fuelled action. A writer that never fails to please, there's always a twist and oh what a shocker the one in this was.
Still loved the story and can't wait for the next one.
