I am a saved, sanctified, and soul winning Baptist. My husband, Matthew Harvey, our three young children, and I serve at Hope Baptist Church of Harrison, Michigan, where we are active members. A graduate of Landmark Baptist College, I love teaching, writing stories and poetry, playing my instruments, and being a mommy.
I stay busy from 7:30am until 1am most every day. I wake up knowing I have a fulfilling day of work ahead of me and go to sleep, exhausted, knowing I have made my little corner of the world a better place. When I got married, God called me to be a submissive wife, encourager, completer, and lover to my husband. and keeper of my home. When God blessed us with out first little bundle of joy, He called me to be a teacher, trainer, encourager, and disciplinarian to my children. I am the laundromat for little ones that cannot reach the buttons, a cook for those who cannot safely operate the stove, and a nurse for everything from imaginary booboos to Emergency Room warranted accidents. I am the record player. I am a clothing seamstress for my little angels and big strong man. I am the snack vendor, drink dispenser, garbage collector, interior decorator, role model, maid, kisser of fake baby doll booboos, and best friend... and so much more! I am also an author and blogger.
Our little family of five will be growing by one more little bundle in May of this year. We are very exited as we eagerly wait the delivery!
My first book, "The Fanatics", is a 105 page novella based in future America where it is illegal to be a Christian. It chronicles the struggles of a wounded police officer, who was forced into hiding, to reach his family with the Gospel in the face of certain death. Meanwhile, as his sister tries to find him to keep him safe in spite of the dangers she faces for helping a "Fanatic", she also learns what REALLY happened to her parents and who she really is. It is a thrilling narrative from start to finish with a God-bump raising ending.
I am also working on revamping a second book, called "A Struggle with Destiny", and writing a non-fiction ladies devotional, called "So Many Hats". I am currently taking more classes in writing as I work further toward my Master's degree.
