Bob Triggs was born in the Falkland Islands in 1957. He moved to the United Kingdom in 1976 and for the next 18 years, lived in London. In 1994, he moved to his current home close to Los Angeles. His first novel, "Tumble", was published in November 2009 and was available only in print.
A dispute between the author and the publishers prevented "Tumble" from being published as an e-book. "Tumble II" did not fall under the same contract as "Tumble", but because of the ongoing dispute for which no satisfactory resolution appeared to be forthcoming, Bob refused to assign the second book to the publisher. With respect to the reader's of "Tumble" who waited (sometimes impatiently) for the promised conclusion as the dispute dragged on for more than three years, Bob, not wishing to disappoint "Tumble" fans any longer, published "Tumble II" in 2013 as an e-book through Smashwords. However, while presenting the long awaited sequel to his readers, Bob was fully aware that as "Tumble II" was only the second half of the story, it would be unlikely to pick up any new readers even though a comprehensive "Story so far" was included.
Negotiations with the assigned publisher of "Tumble" to buy back the contract was ultimately agreed and ownership of all publishing rights was transferred back to the author in 2014.
But there is good news on the horizon! "Tumble" is no longer in print and the sequel, "Tumble II" will be unpublished and removed from the Smashwords (and all retail) libraries by the end of December 2014. A pentalogy encompassing revised editions of "Tumble" and "Tumble II", including additional chapters not previously published, are being released and the first book in the series, "Tumble: The Andaman Event" will be published through Smashwords on January 1, 2015. Subsequent books in the five book series are scheduled to be released on the first days of March, May, July and September of 2015.
But these are not all of the releases planned for 2015. October 1 is the preliminary release date for a sci-fi murder/mystery, "Shadow of Vengeance" and December 1 is the promised release date for a nail-biting thriller, "The Halfway House".
