Short description
Rob knows the trains still run. He can hear them ...
Going Underground is a 3000 word short story that formed the basis for the world used in Chris Ward's acclaimed Tube Riders trilogy. The Tube Riders part 1 is available now. Part 2, The Tube RIders: Exile, will be published in summer 2013.
In a near future dystopian Britain a drifter called Rob is chasing a dream - that the London Underground trains still run.
This 3000 word short story comes with the first chapter of the novel, The Tube Riders, which was set in a world based on this story, as a free sample.
Chris Ward is the author of dystopian science fiction trilogy The Tube Riders, as well as the supernatural thriller The Man Who Built the World. A native of Cornwall, England, he now lives in the Japanese Alps with his wife and cat.
