Extended description

When his father dies, Greg Charmant’s mother becomes addicted to anti-depression medicine. The middle of three boys, he is taken by the state and put into the foster system.

After his adult life falls apart, Greg decides to return to his childhood by restoring lost relationships. Unfortunately, he's too late.

His own childhood was empty, but he's determined not to have his son end up the same way.

Greg will return to the past, bring his future with him, to take control of his present. And to have the family he's always wanted.

This is a short story relating the childhood of the male main character in an upcoming full-length contemporary Southern women's fiction novel.
