Talk about value for money. It was my friend who told me to check out the book ‘A Quiet Night In June’ by Daryl R. Smith, after they highly recommended it after reading, and I can now clearly see why.

The book is filled with 40 poems in total, and I spent a fun filled weekend reading them all, a lot of them I could personally relate to what the author was writing about, and a lot of the poems I find really inspiring to me, particularly ‘Remembering Cherry Blossoms And Pagodas’, ‘Interstate Running’ and ‘Goals’.

Even though the first time I have heard and read the works of Daryl R. Smith, I hope not the last, a very talented writer who clearly gives his heart and soul into his work.
