Being a whistle blower always has consequences. Always. The first time you speak out against government, you find yourself getting cold shoulders and lingering glares at public events. The further you go, the worse the consequences, and before you know it, work contracts get cancelled, tax audit claim you owe vast amounts of money, and everything becomes more difficult.
At that point, most people back off but not everyone. Some people keep asking questions, standing up and speaking out. until finally, the government either changes, or fights back. In this case, the government fought back and this time, they didn't pull any punches. This time they went for the throat, hoping to end the dissention.
Convicted of a crime she didn't commit, her young son taken, Summer Camp for the Anarchist is based on a true story, and follows a self proclaimed freedom fighter as she finds herself in jail for the summer, and it chronicles her time there, including the good, the bad, and the very unexpected.
When she first arrives at "camp", our anarchist is smiling and determined to enjoy her stay. However, when outside forces conspire to throw her world into chaos, our anarchist is forced to look deep within herself, and the soul of humanity, to find a path through the insanity.
Funny, irreverent, and at times, deeply moving, Summer Camp for the Anarchist is a story about fear, loss, hope and survival in a part of our world few ever venture.
