About The Author
Esther Mohammed was born in the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago. She lived in the deep country on a beautiful farm with lovely parents and is the fourth of ten siblings. She resides in beautiful, picturesque Newtown, Connecticut, since May 2008!
She migrated to the United States of America in 1994; lived in Brooklyn, New York, for fifteen years; and attended Medgar Evers College of Brooklyn, New York.
She is the author of Sweet Smelling Mornings, published in 2013. This collection of poems reflects the freshness and vitality of everyday life and the losses that come along with it. She is also the author of The Celebration of Life in Memory of the Sandy Hook Elementary School Victims, also published in 2013. This collection of poems gives a voice of hope and courage. A wonderful keepsake for all families!
She is currently working on her novel “Wedding at Eleven AM,” which is developed from the first prose poem based on a true story in her collection Sweet Smelling Mornings.
