I loved this book. The characters were great, the story was wonderful. I really wanted this book not to end and wish it was much longer. I'd love to see this become a series. I really like too, the 'unconventional' (or realistic), depending on how you see it, family. More of this is needed in books. Thank you for writing this.

Very entertaining story. Rich detail brings any good story to life, and David does it splendidly in Scourge. I'm looking forward to the sequel.

This was a great little story. The plot was full of adventure, twists and turns, portentious character revelations, mysterious powers and absinth.

I could quite easily see this developed into a family movie a la Golden Compass.

The story leaves things open for a sequel and I'm sure I'll be in the line to purchase it if it arrives.
