Short description
What should be an ill-suited match between an illogical billionaire Prince and an intelligent, independent peasant woman actually ends up being something else entirely.
Will the contract remain? Is Elizabeth merely Roland's pet, or is there a possibility for more? And why does the Queen seem so intent on clarifying the pair's relationship?
What's all this talk about a collar, though?
Strange.
(A Cerys du Lys BDSM erotic romantic comedy novelette)
When Elizabeth signed Prince Roland's contract and agreed to be his "pet," she had no idea what she was getting into. Roland seems nice enough, though, and his demands aren't too demanding. In fact, she hasn't actually done anything he's asked.
When Roland found Elizabeth, he thought she'd be the perfect pet. He doesn't understand what a pet is nor what it does, but Elizabeth was nice enough to write up a contract and make it more official. Unfortunately when she agreed to listen to him, that didn't mean she'd agree to do anything he said. (Read more)

They're at an impasse! Arguments and heated discussions, annoyance and neglect, hateful comments and...
Wait a second? None of that's happening? What's going on, then?
What should be an ill-suited match between an illogical billionaire Prince and an intelligent, independent peasant woman actually ends up being something else entirely.
Will the contract remain? Is Elizabeth merely Roland's pet, or is there a possibility for more? And why does the Queen seem so intent on clarifying the pair's relationship?
What's all this talk about a collar, too, and why does Roland think he should give her a bath?
Strange, that.
*EXCERPT*
"Anyways!" he said, ignoring her. "Since you're my pet, I was thinking I should bathe you. Now, I haven't heard this is a thing you do with pets, but it makes sense, right? People give their dogs a bath all the time."
"Are you sure about this pet thing?" she asked. "I realize you're a Prince, but I feel like you're going about this the wrong way."
"What do you mean?"
"Like earlier? When you wanted me to walk around out in public naked? Or when you wanted to return here on horseback while carrying me over your shoulder? Or when you said I should wear that ridiculous outfit with the nipple studs?"
Roland panicked. "Outfit? I don't know what you're talking about." In a hushed, hissing voice, he added, "We promised not to speak of that ever again!"
"Whatever! It's just us. Is there anyone else in the bathroom here? I don't think so."
Roland frowned. "Fine. I'll allow it this time, but remember for next time. Never again!"
"My point is... I don't think any of this makes sense. Also, what if I'm more like a cat?"
"Huh?"
"You don't give a cat a bath, now do you? I think I'm more like a cat. I can bathe myself."
Roland scratched his head and stared at her. She would've preferred a lusty, aggressive stare, not a confused, curious one, but she supposed she'd take what she could get.
