Extended description

With an agoraphobic mother and a barely-there father, Sang abhors the isolation keeping her in the shadows. The only thing Sang craves is a fresh start and to be accepted as ordinary by her peers, because for her being different meant being cast out alone.

When her family moves to a new school district, Sang infiltrates a group of boys nearly perfect in every way. Grateful for an influence outside of her parents’ negativity, she quickly bonds with the boys, hoping to blend in and learn from them what it means to have a natural relationship with friends.

Only the boys have secrets of their own and they’ll do anything to keep her safe from the knowledge of the mysterious Academy that they've sworn allegiance to. Bit by bit, Sang discovers that her friends are far from the normalcy she expected. This book wasn't kidding when it named itself "Introductions". Because believe me, no matter what the blurb says, it's really just about meeting all the characters for the series.

A sheltered girl who has no idea how stunning she is. Seven different but all equally swoon-worthy boys. Two mysterious professors. The Academy.

Well, it's a helluva good introduction!

Immediately I was drawn to the group dynamics. It's always refreshing to read about guy friendship -- Kota, Victor, Silas, Nathan, Gabriel, Luke and North all seem so cool together. I can't wait to find out more about them, their secrets and The Academy!

Oh, Sang. I'm sure there's something so much more special about her. I loved that while she's innocent and sheltered, she's not weak. It's also fun to read the guys fawning all over her. I'm so jealous of her!

Gawd I'm gonna hang on to this series... I hope it lives up to my expectations. Now if only it would get a better marketing plan. Better book cover too.
